SATS for Teachers

5th - 9th August, 2019

Professor Janice Chapman, author of the internationally acclaimed book Singing and Teaching Singing: A Holistic Approach to Classical Voice (SATS), will lead a team of voice specialists and vocal coaches from the industry including the Royal Opera House in a comprehensive pedagogy course at the prestigious Chetham’s  School of Music and Baronial Library in Manchester, United Kingdom.

This year, we have expanded our portfolio of courses and are pleased to offer a separate SATS course that has been specifically tailored for the diverse number of teachers we welcome each year.

With a greater focus on developing diagnostic skills and the application of the SATS model in the vocal studio, our 5 day SATS for Teachers course is perfect for any voice teacher who wants a practical and hands-on approach to working with their students.

Concepts introduced in lectures will be reinforced by live demonstrations using endoscopy, spectography and ultrasound.

Collaborative masterclass sessions will encourage you to hone your diagnostic skills and trouble-shooting abilities.

Dates: Monday 5th – Friday 9th August 2019

Venue: Chetham’s School of Music, Long Millgate, Manchester M3 1SB, UK

Cost: £1,400 (non-residential)
